Red Peter’s Way Out (based on A Report To An Academy by Franz Kafka) is a
one-hander that rides on physicality to express the character and its world. Relaying his life journey Red Peter speaks from the heart invitingly sharing the depth of his ape to human transformation story. The
play attempts to communicate the idea that humankind has far to go in creating
societal norms that break rather than fuse chains that limit identity in terms of personal freedom and development. It speaks to
the issue of contemporary desires for self-fulfillment (self actualization) in
an increasingly restrictive society.
